Navigating Power: Civil Society Advice on Influencing Change

Navigating Power is a collection of advice from civil society on how to go about influencing change. Based on their lived experience working in fragile and restrictive contexts, it gathers strategies that are astute, responsive to shifting dynamics, and proven to help organisations remain effective under pressure. It distils and shares lessons from across contexts – from the grassroots to the global stage – demonstrating how organisations can analyse power, identify opportunities, mitigate risks and build alliances. By capturing these approaches, we aim to equip advocates with practical tools to ensure that community priorities and perspectives inform policy and decision-making – whether at local, subnational, national or international level
